Shout Out to the Customer Service Industry

Fall is here and that means holiday shopping is right around the corner. (Truth: it’s started already). One of the most difficult jobs you can have is in the customer service industry. If you disagree you’ve probably never worked retail during a holiday season.

I would like to take a moment to recognize the people who make our coffee, gift wrap our presents, help us pick out the right tie for grandpa, and deal with screaming children (why must you bring them to Starbucks?) throughout the year—all while keeping a smile on their face.

Here we pay homage to you with these all too real (and relatable) tweets.

They endure hazardous work environments.

Hahahahaha good morning to me. Whole gallon all over the floor with 3 car lines on both sides. 😊😊😊 #BaristaProbs #BaristaLife pic.twitter.com/NLEccqmOiO

They are morning people and they work weekends just to serve you.

You know, working early in the morning has its perks - but going to bed at 9pm isn't one of them. #partypooperlife #baristaprobs #needzzzs

#DearCustomer "do u ever get a day off"

“Patience is a virtue” was said about customer service employees.

There is a special place in hell for people who say "I ordered my coffee a year ago is it not done yet?" #punchyourself #baristaprobs

Because at the end of the day… you’ll see them again

#DearCustomer
Oh, you're never gonna shop here again? I'm sorry to hear that. See you next week.#RetailLife#CashierProblems

#dearcustomer,
When you tell me you're never coming back, I assure you, I won't try to stop you. pic.twitter.com/gmzyQDdmrp

You might not hear it a lot over the next couple months, but we appreciate all the hard work you do! Good luck this holiday season, stay sane!
