Elon Musk's Resume of Failures

How would you feel if every time you failed, a space shuttle would explode? Would you try to do anything ever again? Chances are, probably not.

Elon Musk, on the other hand, seems to enjoy the challenge.

Even before he became the world's greatest supplier of spectacular explosions, Musk's failures were no less impressive. Before he managed to revolutionize every industry he touched, he got ousted as CEO of Zip2, the first company he created. Not long after that, he also was also forced to step down as CEO of PayPal. He was rejected twice by Russian generals when he tried to buy their derelict space rockets. SpaceX almost went bankrupt after first three of his rockets exploded at launch. Shortly after, Tesla Model S also began to have problems with spontaneous battery combustion.

The list of his failures is so long it makes you wonder: How is it even possible this guy is worth 31.1 billion today?

In the end, Elon Musk managed to turn his many failures into stepping stones to success. His story is a testament to how much can a human being achieve through perseverance and dreaming big enough. And even though most people know about his many achievements, there’s much more to learn from the difficulties he had to face. We composed Elon Musk’s resume of failures for this very reason.
